Being Well, Doing Well
Welcome to our school’s Emotional Health and Wellbeing page.
We are proud to be part of the Education Authority’s 'Being Well, Doing Well' programme, which helps schools develop a whole-school approach to emotional health and wellbeing.
The Being Well Doing Well (BWDW) programme is part of The Children and Young People’s Emotional Health and Wellbeing Education Framework.
This programme supports schools of all types: nursery, primary, post-primary, special and EOTAS, to build positive wellbeing across the whole school community by providing:
- A Wellbeing Framework to help schools reflect on their current practice, identify priorities and plan actions that support everyone’s emotional health and wellbeing.
- Resources, training and practical tools, including the BWDW Toolkit, to strengthen wellbeing across the whole school.
- Improved well-being outcomes that reduce barriers to learning and help pupils feel more confident, supported and ready to learn.
At Limavady Central, we believe that when pupils feel nurtured, happy, valued and safe, they can reach their full potential. Our programme promotes wellbeing across the whole school community, including pupils, parents, staff (teaching, non-teaching, auxiliary), and governors - reflecting our vision to “nurture every child for success” and our motto, “We Care For All.”
