Primary 7 enjoyed a visit to Altahullion Windfarm on the outskirts of the town in October. The pupils got an opportunity to go inside a turbine and find out how they work. They were able to try on the safety harnesses and get an insight into how the Turbines are built and how they deliver power to the National grid. Engineers and personnel from RES were on hand to answer questions. As you will see from the photos, the pupils enjoyed their visit and this will form part of their World Around Us topic on Renewable Energy.
