Primary 7 Workhouse Famine Talk by Mr Sean Quigley

As part of our ‘Great Irish Famine’ topic, both Primary Seven classes visited the grounds of Limavady Workhouse, where we were treated to an informative and thought-provoking talk, by local teacher, Mr Sean Quigley.

We were all held spellbound, while Mr Quigley shared his fascinating knowledge of how the Great Famine impacted the people in the Limavady area.

Children and teachers would like to thank Mr Quigley so much for giving up his time to bring some important history of the local area to life in such an imaginative and engaging way!
