Primary 1 Visit to All Creatures Vets Surgery π©ββοΈπΆπΉ
Primary 1 have really enjoyed their 'Pets and Vets' topic and we were delighted to have the opportunity to visit a real vets surgery this week.
All Creatures Veterinary Health Centre welcomed our Primary 1 classes on Thursday morning for a fantastic fun-filled visit. We enjoyed an informative talk about the Vet's job, then headed off to explore some amazing activities, including a teddy bear clinic for our soft toys! We got the chance to bandage our teddies and learn how to give them vaccinations. We learned how to do surgery by picking frozen peas out of jelly with tweezers - we needed super steady hands to manage this. We got to use the scanner to check for microchips in the toy dogs and we saw the hydrotherapy pool where pets can exercise to help them recover after surgery. We also made a very special promise to be always be kind to all animals and take care of them.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at All Creatures Vets. They are such a dedicated, welcoming and inspiring team of professionals who happily gave their time, knowledge and expertise to provide this unforgettable experience for all our Junior Vets in Primary 1!
