Polar Explorers in Primary 1!

Wow! We can't believe we're already in Term 2 of Primary 1 - how time flies when we're having fun! Our new topic is 'Snowy Lands' and as you can see we've been having fun in our Polar Explorer Area. We've been spotting all sorts of interesting animals with our binoculars and making a note of them. We dress up warmly and catch and cook fish on our pretend campfire. When we've finished exploring we curl up in our igloo and get cosy with blankets and sleeping bags.

As there hasn't been much real snow so far this year we've been making snowmen using white sparkly playdough and playing in the pretend snow in the sand tray. We've also been building hide-outs for our polar animals (and ourselves!) using the big blocks. We've been learning how to make paper snowflakes and we're getting really good at folding the paper and snipping with scissors!
