Outdoor Fun in our Orchard Area

The children in Primary 1 have been busy exploring our Orchard Area. We enjoyed digging in the soil and finding seeds, stones and even some shy little minibeasts. We used the magnifying glass to hunt for fossils in the stones and had a go at digging them out using the fork and spade.

We have been busy mixing and baking pies and cakes at the mud kitchen and creating potions with leaves and grass. We love using the wheelbarrows to transport tools and soil around the garden - working together as a team to fill the wheelbarrow, then transporting our cargo very carefully.

We have enjoyed building with crates, boxes and tyres - creating challenging obstacle courses for our friends!
