What an eventful week for all the children at Limavady Central! On Monday we teamed up with the children in Primary 5 to do some Paired Reading. Tuesday was the start of The Big Book Swap. On No Pens Wednesday, the children designed and made their favourite character from either a paper plate or in a large potato. On Thursday the children were presented with a "Mystery Box" that contained prompts and clues. This encouraged discussion, developing important talking and listening skills. Follow up activities included: character profiles, poems and mystery character questions/flipcharts. We finished the week with an exciting visit from a local author, Colin Ash and the opportunity to purchase books at a discounted price! As you can see from the photos the children loved every minute!
