Our lovely principal, Mrs Maureen Smyth, is due to retire at the end of term, after steering LCPS for just under six happy years; she is going to be missed by everyone.
Mrs Smyth has guided the school through tough times, during Covid, and has brought about many positive changes in so many different areas of school life. Her friendly and caring approach has been so important in nurturing every single child- and encouraging them to achieve their very best.
Mrs Smyth’s lovely qualities were highlighted by the children when they presented her with cards, gifts, poems, artwork and videos they’d created to say ‘Thank you’.
In the words of one P7 boy, ‘You made our school a place I loved going to’.
We, at Limavady Central, appreciate everything Mrs Smyth achieved as Principal, and we want to wish her a long and very happy retirement.
