P1 just love playing games! As you can see from the photos, we have been having so much fun playing different games during this half term.
Playing games helps children learn to count, match, develop their hand-eye co-ordination and memory skills. As they play, children learn to take turns and follow the rules of the game. They are developing their concentration and improving their attention span.
They learn to plan, problem-solve, make decisions and work together as a team - all while having fantastic fun!
We have enjoyed recognising and matching 2D shapes with ‘Dotty Dinosaurs’ and we have developed our fine motor skills and strategic thinking as we played ‘Save the Polar Bear’. We practised our counting, matching and memory skills with ‘Build a Snowman’ and ‘Little Penguin Lotto’.
