Today Primary 1 had a very special visitor - Farmer Rankin came to talk to us! He told us about all the jobs he has to do on his farm. Did you know that he has 150 cows to milk every morning and evening? Phew - he must be exhausted looking after so many cows! Farmer Rankin showed us the tools he uses to look after his cows - special nail clippers and a tool for piercing the cow's ear with a name tag. He showed us the special food that the cows enjoy while being milked - but we didn't think that we would like to eat it.
However, we all loved the tasty milky chocolate buttons that Farmer Rankin brought as a treat for all the children - thank you so much Farmer Rankin!
